This Return & Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all returns, replacements, refunds, and related consumer rights for purchases made through IBPet.com and its associated digital properties (collectively, the “Services”). This Policy applies exclusively to direct consumer transactions and does not apply to wholesale, bulk, reseller, business, or commercial orders unless expressly stated in writing.
By placing an order with IBPet, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy. IBPet reserves the right to update or modify this Policy at any time, consistent with applicable law.
1. Return Window
IBPet accepts eligible returns for qualifying merchandise within fourteen (14) days from the date the order is marked as delivered by the carrier.
Items returned outside of this window are not eligible for refund, replacement, or credit, except as required by applicable law.
To qualify, items must be:
- unused,
- unopened (where required),
- unworn,
- in original packaging, and
- in resalable condition,
as determined solely by IBPet.
IBPet retains full discretion to deny returns that do not meet these criteria.
2. Return Shipping Responsibility
Unless expressly stated otherwise in this Policy:
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, packaging costs, and carrier fees.
- IBPet does not provide prepaid labels except for verified defective, damaged, or incorrect items.
Return shipping fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.
3. Eligibility for Returns
Eligibility varies by product category, consistent with U.S. consumer protection, food-safety regulations, and industry best practices.
A. Pet Food
- Unopened pet food: Eligible for return within the 14-day window.
- Opened pet food: Strictly not eligible for return, refund, or replacement.
B. Pet Treats
- Unopened treats: Eligible for return.
- Opened treats: Not eligible under any circumstance.
C. Pet Supplies (Non-Food Items)
Returnable if unused, undamaged, and in original packaging, including but not limited to:
- Toys
- Collars, leashes, harnesses
- Bowls & feeders
- Beds and accessories
- Grooming accessories
- Apparel
- General pet gear
Items showing signs of wear, pet hair, odor, damage, or use will be rejected.
D. Health, Hygiene, and Wellness Products
Due to regulatory and safety requirements:
- Opened or unsealed items cannot be returned.
- Unopened items may be eligible on a case-by-case basis.
This includes:
- Supplements
- Vitamins
- Flea/tick products
- Grooming liquids
- Medicated items
- Sanitary and hygiene products
E. Customized, Personalized, or Special-Order Items
The following are non-returnable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable:
- Engraved or personalized items
- Custom products
- Items manufactured or modified to customer specification
- Limited-edition or special-order items
F. Live Animals
IBPet does not sell or accept returns for live animals of any kind.
4. Non-Returnable Items (All Circumstances)
To protect customer safety, reduce fraud, and comply with regulations, the following items are never eligible for return or refund:
- Opened food/treats
- Opened health or hygiene products
- Used pet supplies
- Items showing pet hair, odors, or wear
- Damaged items caused by customer misuse
- Items missing parts, packaging, or accessories
- Digital gift cards or physical gift cards
- Clearance, final-sale, or non-returnable items (as labeled at purchase)
5. Exchanges
Exchanges are only available for:
- Defective items
- Incorrect items shipped by IBPet
Exchanges are not offered for preference-based reasons such as size, color, or style.
If a replacement is unavailable, IBPet may issue a refund in its sole discretion.
6. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
Customers must report any defective, damaged, or incorrect items within 72 hours of delivery.
To process a claim, IBPet requires:
- Order number
- Photographs and/or video evidence
- Description of the issue
IBPet may require return of the defective item before issuing a replacement or refund.
Claims filed after the 72-hour window may be denied.
IBPet is not responsible for:
- Damage caused by improper use
- Damage caused by pets
- Damage caused by weather or environmental exposure
- Incidental or consequential damages
7. Refund Process
Refunds are issued only after IBPet receives and inspects the returned item (unless return is waived).
Approved refunds:
- are issued to the original payment method,
- typically take 5–10 business days after approval, and
- exclude original shipping charges, return shipping, and surcharges.
Refunds may be reduced or denied if items:
- do not meet eligibility criteria,
- are returned used or damaged,
- have missing packaging or accessories, or
- are returned outside the authorized window.
IBPet is not obligated to issue refunds until the return is fully verified.
8. Return Procedure
To initiate a return:

- Provide your order number and reason for return
- Await authorization (returns sent without authorization may be refused)
- Ship item(s) using a traceable shipping method
- Retain tracking until refund is processed
IBPet is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged return shipments.
Unauthorized returns may be rejected and not refunded.
9. Return Refusal and Fraud Prevention
IBPet reserves the right to refuse a return, refund, or replacement if:
- the item does not meet Policy requirements;
- the customer engages in excessive or abusive return behavior;
- fraudulent activity or chargeback manipulation is suspected;
- items show signs of use inconsistent with normal inspection;
- return requests conflict with health, safety, or regulatory guidelines.
IBPet may take any lawful action to prevent fraud, including account suspension, cancellation of orders, or referral to appropriate authorities.
10. Policy Modifications
IBPet may update or amend this Policy at any time to remain consistent with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements. The “Effective Date” will be updated accordingly.
Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
